1. Lot 11 Skatepark
Spanning 38,000 square feet, Lot 11 Skatepark is the best skatepark in Miami. This massive skatepark combines vert, transition, and street skating elements across several sections all made of smooth concrete. The competition bowl is the highlight of Lot 11 Skatepark, and it’s big and steep enough to accommodate the needs of vert skaters looking to catch air.
Miami is known for its street skating culture, and Lot 11 Skatepark embraces this with a street section full of ledges, manual pads, hubbas, rails, stairs, and banks. BMX riders are welcome at Lot 11 Skatepark, and it’s recommended that you wear helmets and protective gear. The skatepark features lights so you can safely skate until 10:00 PM when Lot 11 closes.

2. Skatebird Skatepark
Skatebird Skatepark combines the best of both worlds between an extensive pump track and an elaborate skatepark. The pump track is perfect for skaters and BMX riders alike, and it spans 18,000 square feet. You also have access to 12,000 square feet of traditional street and transition skating obstacles, such as banks, stairs, ledges, and rails.
There are also several quarter pipes for practicing axle stalls and catching air. This is a great skatepark for beginners because they offer skateboarding lessons. Admission costs $15, and while most outdoor skateparks are free, Skatebird Skatepark is worth the cost.

3. Kendall Indians Hammocks Skatepark

Transition and vert skaters may be bummed about the lack of a half pipe, but there are steep banks and a ramp that offer plenty of air. 5. Haulover Skatepark
Look no further than Haulover Skatepark to find a well-rounded course that appeals to every type of skater and BMX rider. Most of the park consists of a massive pump track that can help you practice your stance, speed, and weight distribution. You will also find a steep bowl for transition riders as well as a rail and quarter pipe.
This free park is good for beginners because the pump track isn’t too extreme despite its large size. Right by the beach, there is plenty to do around Haulover Skatepark, so it’s a great place to start your day. The park closes at 5:30 PM, so make sure to get there early to shred.

6. Westwind Lakes Skatepark
Scooter riders, in-line skaters, BMX riders, and skateboarders should check out Westwind Lakes Skatepark in Miami. Its unique design offers street course elements as well as transition riding staples like quarter pipes.
There is plenty of space between each of the obstacles, so you don’t have to worry as much about collisions. The flat ground sections are great for learning and practicing flip tricks and manuals. 7. North Trail Skatepark
Spohn Ranch, one of the leading skatepark construction companies, built the impressive North Trail Skatepark. Since 2013, North Trail Skatepark has been a staple of the extreme sports community in Miami. The park spans 10,000 square feet of hips, mini ramps, stairs, rails, manual pads, and more.
A large, curving quarter pipe gives skaters and BMX riders the chance to plan fun lines leading into stalls and grinds. This skatepark is known for its smooth concrete that requires little pedaling and pushes to maintain momentum. Luckily, the park features several lights so you can skate at night. Palmetto Bay Skatepark is the best skatepark for beginners in Miami Dade County. Located in gorgeous Palmetto Bay, this skatepark is simple and features an even mix of rails, stairs, and ramps. None of the obstacles are extreme when compared to nearby skateparks like Lot 11.
You can safely ride a scooter, BMX bike, or skateboard at Palmetto Bay Skatepark. The splashes of color on most of the obstacles make Palmetto Bay Skatepark unique. Make sure to bring your helmet and pads to Palmetto Bay Skatepark as they are required.

You will also find flat bars that are great for working on your grinds before you try to grind a rail over a stair set. South Dade Skatepark is available to rent out on the weekends, but it’s typically open to the public. It’s recommended that you wear protective gear even though it isn’t required at South Dade Skatepark.

12. Jose Alex Scott Skatepark
Jose Alex Scott Skatepark is small at 5,000 square feet, but it has plenty to offer. You won’t have to push much to gain speed at this park as the concrete is smooth and slopes downward. The edges of the skatepark are bordered by quarter pipes for transition skateboarders, rollerbladers, and BMX riders.
Several hips are mostly ideal for skateboarders. Street skaters and rollerbladers will love the rails and ledges at Jose Alex Scott Skatepark. While helmets and pads aren’t required, I recommend wearing them because you will roll quite fast at this park making it easier to fall on the concrete.

Are The Skateparks in Miami Safe?
Most of the skateparks in Miami are safe because they typically have lights and are often populated with skaters and BMX riders. However, you still need to be concerned about the crime in the area, especially at night. There is an average of 414 crimes per square mile in Miami, so it’s important to exercise caution at the skateparks, especially when it’s dark.
Does Miami Have Any Indoor Skateparks?
Miami does not currently have any indoor skateparks, but that will hopefully change soon. The closest indoor skatepark to Miami is Ramp48. It takes roughly 50 minutes to drive from Miami to Fort Lauderdale, but it’s worth the time if you want to shred indoors when the weather is bad.
Is Miami a Good Skateboarding Destination?
Miami is a great skateboarding destination because of the wide variety of skateparks. Parks like Lot 11, Westwind Lakes Skatepark, and North Beach Skatepark cater to BMX riders, rollerbladers, and skateboarders. Miami is also known for having great street skating spots.
